Mattel is an American multinational toy manufacturer founded in 1945. In this collection, Mattel is predominantly featured as the local Australian distributor of Nintendo products over seven years from the NES launch in 1987. Nintendo Australia was founded and took over local marketing and distribution from Mattel in early 1994.
