Enhanced Hardware

This is an umbrella term for software that supports upgraded hardware on otherwise fixed-specification platforms. It also applies to cross-compatiblity between different generations. Examples include support for the Super Game Boy, Game Boy Color, WonderSwan Color, PlayStation 4 Pro, and Xbox One X. Software supporting upgraded system RAM on the Nintendo 64 and Sega Saturn are listed separately.
