Description
Turok 2: Seeds of Evil is set over a century after the first game. It follows the new Turok Joshua Fireseed as he battles across the Lost Land to prevent the a powerful alien imprisoned in a Lightship from breaking free. Guided by the alien emissary Adon, Joshua must protect the Energy Totems that keep the Primagen contained, facing off against his minions across six massive, interconnected levels.
The game pushed the N64 hardware with Expansion Pak support for high‑resolution graphics, large and complex environments, and more advanced enemy AI than its predecessor. Its arsenal was highly memorable introducing weapons like the Cerebral Bore, a homing drill that latches onto enemies’ skulls, alongside shotguns, plasma rifles, and alien tech. In addition to the single‑player campaign, Seeds of Evil added a robust multiplayer mode supporting split‑screen for up to four players. It was critically praised for its scope, atmosphere, and inventive weaponry, the game sold over 1.4 million copies within months. Although retrospectively the performance on the Nintendo 64 is seen to hold it back.
