64 Trump Collection: Alice no Wakuwaku Trump World

Description

64 Trump Collection: Alice no Wakuwaku Trump World is a card-game collection that follows Alice through a world populated by the White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter, March Hare, Queen of Hearts, and other characters inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The journey is divided into chapters organised around Old Maid, Sevens, Concentration, Speed, Cheat, Seven Bridge, Page One, and Daifugō, with Alice progressing by defeating groups of themed opponents.

The Story Mode contains 8 games, while a standard mode also includes alongside Klondike, FreeCell, video poker, blackjack, Dobon, Fortune Shuffle, and a personality test. Computer opponents are available at multiple difficulty levels, while compatible games support between two and four human players. Several games modify their familiar rules: Old Maid allows players to reject a selected card and introduces reverse and skip effects, while Concentration awards increasing scores for consecutive matches. A Trump Classroom explains the rules, controls, and techniques for the included games, while an options area provides access to the game’s music, sound effects, and character voices.

The game belongs to Bottom Up’s broader series of card-game compilations, but distinguishes itself by integrating the games into an illustrated story rather than presenting them only through menus. Retrospective Japanese commentary has praised the number of included games, the compatibility between the Alice theme and playing cards, the animated storybook-style characters, the music, and the generally brisk pace of play. While individual games are established card games rather than original designs, the modified rules provide some variation.
