Description

Wicked Monsters Blast! revolves around short, reflex‑driven shooting challenges. You aim with the Wii Remote and fire at targets across a variety of themed mini‑games. These range from blasting bottles in a saloon to fending off militant birds, feeding whales by shooting sushi plates, or tackling pun‑laden stages such as “Dime Crisis,” a parody of Namco’s Time Crisis. The package includes around a dozen mini‑games, each designed to be replayed for high scores.

Three main modes structure the experience. Arcade Mode strings together a sequence of mini‑games with limited lives, Family Mode allows players to select their preferred challenges without penalties, and Survival Mode continues until the player fails a stage. While all modes can be played solo, the game is clearly designed for up to four players, with chaotic multiplayer sessions providing most of its appeal.

The presentation is bright and cartoonish, with a cast of quirky animal mascots such as Parda, Lizzy, and Ticky. The tone is deliberately light‑hearted, aimed at children and families, and the humour leans on slapstick and pop‑culture references.

At launch, Wicked Monsters Blast! was marketed as a budget title. Critical reception was mixed. Although the game captured some of the charm of Point Blank with its quickfire challenges and multiplayer focus, the limited number of mini‑games (twelve) and absence of online functionality limited its replay value. Only good for some local multiplayer.
