Bundled in Set
Description
An AC Adaptor part of Sega’s series of power supplies, this one was designed to provide stable current for the Master System and compatible with certain early Genesis/Mega Drive units. The 3025‑03 variant was distributed in Australia and Europe, fitted with the local plug standard. Its specifications were straightforward: input 240V AC, output 9V DC at 1A, with a barrel connector suited to Sega’s consoles.
The 3025‑03 is interchangeable with other MK‑3025 models (such as 3025‑1 and 3025‑18), all of which share the same electrical profile. Modern aftermarket adaptors effortlessly replicate these specifications, with only 9W output required over 9V, it is extremely easy to adapt from USB QC or modern USB-C PD supplies.
I have a box of various Australian AC Adapters for Sega Master System Power Base units, not properly catalogued. My notes record this model being supplied with the original SMS Power Base. As labelled, it is a 240V/50Hz 15W input, with 9V/1A, 9W output. Not particularly efficient but any modern standard.
