Adventure Island

Hudson Soft’s platformer series, starting in 1986, stars Master Higgins on a quest to rescue Princess Tina across tropical, hazard-filled stages. Originally adapted from Sega’s Wonder Boy, later entries became their own thing, adding new abilities, dinosaurs, and varied environments. Known for its fast-paced, fruit-collecting gameplay, it remained a staple of 8- and 16-bit consoles.
