A HD/4K remaster compilation of: Assassin’s Creed II (2009), Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood (2010), and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations (2011).
Description
Launched in late 2016 for PS4 and Xbox One, this packaged fully remastered editions of Assassin’s Creed II, Brotherhood, and Revelations. Complete with all single-player DLC and the Assassin’s Creed Lineage and Embers short films.
Leveraging modern hardware, the trilogy received overhauled textures, lighting, and visual effects. Despite still being limited to just 30 FPS gameplay, it runs smoothly across sprawling Renaissance the cities of Florence, Rome, and Constantinople. Ubisoft refined the experience by harmonizing controls (e.g., remapping Run to R2) and pruning multiplayer modes from Brotherhood and Revelations, focusing the collection squarely on Ezio’s solo saga. A much later Nintendo Switch port in 2022 added some interface improvements.
Overall the collection provided a quality of life update to some of the earlier Assassin’s Creed entries. However, the benefits of this would be much more felt on the PC, which could take advantage of far better hardware with much higher resolutions and framerates.
