720p HD

Known as HD or D4, games that support the most basic form of modern ‘high definition’ i.e. 720×1280 pixels. Although the PlayStation 2 and Xbox were the first consoles to technically support 1080i/720p output, extremely few games supported these resolutions, with 480p seeing small levels of adoption. The following generation 720p became commonplace, however today it is of relatively low quality.
