Description
New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is the enhanced Switch port of the Wii U launch title New Super Mario Bros. U (2012) and its expansion New Super Luigi U (2013). It consolidates both games into a single package with updated features and accessibility tweaks. It is the fourth game in the New Super Mario Bros. series.
The Switch edition includes all 164 courses from the original and the Luigi expansion, playable in single‑player or multiplayer for up to four players. Alongside Mario, Luigi, and the two Toads, the roster now features Nabbit (playable outside of New Super Luigi U for the first time) and Toadette, who can transform into Peachette using the new Super Crown power‑up. Peachette’s abilities: double jump, slow fall, and a recovery boost, make her a more forgiving option for newcomers.
The game retains the classic 2.5D side‑scrolling platforming of the New Super Mario Bros. series, with HD visuals, tight controls, and a mix of traditional Mario power‑ups (Super Mushroom, Fire Flower, Super Acorn, Ice Flower, Penguin Suit, Mini Mushroom, Starman) alongside the new Super Crown.
