Switch Sushi Striker: Way of the Sushido
A fast‑paced action‑puzzle game where players, as Musashi, battle with sushi plates on conveyor belts, combining anime‑style storytelling, collectible Sushi Sprites, and both local and online multiplayer.
Description
Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido is an action‑puzzle game set in a world where sushi has been outlawed after a conflict known as the Sushi Struggles, the story follows Musashi (a player‑chosen male or female protagonist), an orphan who joins the Sushi Liberation Front to restore sushi to the people. Battles take place on conveyor belts of sushi plates, where players must rapidly link plates of the same colour to stack them, eat the sushi, and then hurl the plates at opponents to deal damage.
The Switch version presents the game in HD with anime‑style cutscenes, voiced dialogue, and both touch and button controls. Combat is enriched by the inclusion of Sushi Sprites, collectible companions that grant special abilities such as healing, shields, or elemental attacks, adding a layer of strategy to the fast‑paced puzzle action. Alongside the single‑player campaign, the game supports both local and online multiplayer battles. It has an eccentric premise, colourful anime presentation, and addictive puzzle mechanics, although the campaign length is relatively short and the controls can feel less precise on Switch compared to the 3DS’s stylus input.
