Activision’s blockbuster first-person shooter franchise began in 2003 with World War II campaigns before branching into modern, futuristic, and even battle royale settings. Known for cinematic single-player missions and highly competitive multiplayer, it’s split into sub-series like Modern Warfare and Black Ops. With over 500 million copies sold, it’s one of the best-selling and most influential game series ever.
