WonderSwan

The Bandai WonderSwan is a handheld gaming console first released in 1999, developed by Bandai and designed by former Nintendo president Gunpei Yokoi. It features a monochrome LCD display and uses interchangeable cartridges for games. The system was released exclusively in Japan and is notable for its compact design, long battery life, and a library of games including titles from franchises like Final Fantasy, Gundam, Digimon, and a number of other anime series. It was quickly succeeded by updated models with backlit colour screens.
