Description

MX vs. ATV Supercross Encore features stadium‑based supercross racing, with players competing on dirt tracks filled with jumps, berms, and rhythm sections. It is an expanded and remastered edition of MX vs. ATV Supercross (2014) on PS3 and Xbox 360, the fifth entry in the long‑running off‑road racing series, which marked the franchise’s revival after THQ’s bankruptcy and Nordic Games’ acquisition of the rights. It

The Encore Edition significantly expanded the original, more than doubling to over 35 tracks, by adding outdoor Nationals circuits, open‑world Waypoint races, and the new Rhythm Racing mode, which allowed drag‑style competitions on straight dirt tracks filled with obstacles. The Encore release also introduced remastered HD graphics and audio, smoother online play, and updated physics that refined the “pre‑load” system for jumps. Online multiplayer supported up to 12 players, while local split‑screen allowed two players to compete side by side.

In addition to the expanded track list, the Encore Edition offered Free Ride mode, letting players explore without boundaries, and a wide range of downloadable content such as extra track packs and licensed bikes from manufacturers like KTM, Husqvarna, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha. This made it the most content‑rich entry in the series at the time. While the breadth of content and the authenticity of licensed gear and riders was a positive, the visuals and physics feel dated compared to contemporary racing titles, with gameplay becoming repetitive. Nevertheless, a solid entry for motocross and ATV racing.
