3DO Interactive Multiplayer
The 3DO Interactive Multiplayer is a fifth-generation home video game platform based on a hardware specification developed by the 3DO Company. Launched in 1993, it was the first 32-bit console to reach the market, utilizing the CD-ROM format to deliver high-fidelity 2D and early 3D graphics. While technically advanced for its time, the system struggled commercially. As the specification was licensed to third parties, the system exists in several hardware variations.
