Rare Replay

Description

Rare Replay contains 30 games spanning the ZX Spectrum, Nintendo Entertainment System, arcade, Nintendo 64, Xbox, and Xbox 360 eras. Earlier releases run through integrated emulation with optional rewind, unlimited lives, visual filters, and other assists, while Snapshots isolate mechanics into short tests of speed, survival, scoring, or precision. Stamp-based progression rewards accomplishments across the collection and unlocks Rare Revealed interviews, music, concept work, and footage of unreleased projects. The Xbox 360 titles operate through backward compatibility and require separate installation, bringing the complete package to approximately 38 GB beyond the main application. The compilation offers a combined 10,000 Gamerscore across its integrated achievement structure and individual Xbox 360 releases.

The collection became Rare’s first UK all-formats chart-topper since Banjo-Kazooie, reinforcing its status as more than a nostalgic budget release. It is one of the most ambitious single-studio compilations produced, preserving both celebrated games and the development history behind them.
