Description
1080° Snowboarding providing a surprisingly solid arcade-style simulation of snowboarding that was both accessible yet difficult to master. Playing as one of five unique riders each with distinct stats across a mix of race and trick modes on six detailed courses. Players can chain grabs, spins, and the titular 1080° spin using complex input combinations, while managing speed, balance, and landing angles for maximum style and efficiency.
The game’s Match Race mode pits you against AI rivals with a limited number of retries, while Trick Attack and Contest modes reward creativity and execution. Unlockable characters, boards, and even novelty rides like the Penguin board add replay value. For its time it presented cutting-edge visuals, weather effects, and responsive controls. This helped it earn critical acclaim and over two million sales worldwide.
