Kaettekita Meitantei Pikachu, known internationally as Detective Pikachu Returns picks up two years after the original 3DS game, with Tim and Detective Pikachu still searching for Tim’s missing father, Harry Goodman. Along the way, they investigate a string of Pokémon-related incidents across Ryme City, from jewel thefts to strange accidents, gradually uncovering a larger conspiracy. The game is a mix of humour and heart: Pikachu’s gruff voice and slapstick antics provide comic relief, while the bond between humans and Pokémon gives the narrative emotional weight.
