The PlayStation Move Racing Wheel is designed to work with the PlayStation Move Motion Controller, this accessory docks the motion controller into a dynamic racing tool. The wheel features a collapsible design with twist-grip throttle control and adjustable handlebars, allowing you to switch between standard racing wheel and motorcycle-style riding on the fly. It is the only accessory to use the Move Controller’s expansion capability. The frame integrates a full button array, vibration feedback, adjustable grips, and trigger‑style paddles that simulate throttle and brake, while the Move sensor in the centre tracks tilt, rotation and steering gestures.

Pragmatically, this product was developed to follow the industry trend, specifically the Nintendo Wii. In lieu of a proper racing controller you had these quite finicky motion controls with various plastic shells. I’m not completely against the idea, and at least the PS3 Move controller used a gyro, but retrospectively this seems to have aged poorly as more of a convenience or novelty, than serious engagement with immersion.
