Gravity Rush Remastered reintroduced Kat’s gravity‑shifting adventure with upgraded presentation and technical improvements over the PlayStation Vita release. The remaster included the full story, side missions, and three downloadable content packs, while adding a gallery mode with concept art and cinematics. Visuals were rebuilt to run at 1080p60, with sharper textures and reduced aliasing. Gameplay remained centred on open‑world exploration and combat built around Kat’s ability to manipulate gravity, allowing her to traverse the floating city of Hekseville and battle the Nevi.

The presentation retained the comic‑book aesthetic of the original, with cel‑shaded visuals and stylised panel transitions for narrative sequences. Kōhei Tanaka’s orchestral score was preserved, complementing the remaster’s higher fidelity. The game provided good technical upgrades and an opportunity to experience the game on a larger screen, although some aspects, including the mission design and controls, couldn’t help but reflect its handheld origins. It sold modestly, enough to build momentum for the sequel, Gravity Rush 2, which followed the year after.
