Trials Fusion (Deluxe Edition)

A physics‑driven stunt racer that layers precision platforming onto motorcycles, offering both punishing challenge and playful spectacle. It extends a long‑running series with a futuristic aesthetic and a wealth of extra content.

Description

Trials Fusion sees you control a rider navigating obstacle‑laden tracks that demand balance, throttle control, and careful use of momentum. The game is presented in 3D but plays on a 2D plane, with the rider shifting weight to perform flips, wheelies, and recoveries. Fusion introduced a freestyle motocross trick system, allowing stunts in mid‑air, and added vehicle variety beyond the standard dirt bikes, including a quad bike and novelty options in later expansions. The Deluxe Edition bundles the base game with its Season Pass, which includes six downloadable content packs adding dozens of new tracks, bike parts, rider gear, and items for the track editor.

The presentation leans into a sleek, futuristic style, contrasting with the more grounded look of earlier entries like Trials Evolution. Tracks are filled with ramps, collapsing structures, and reality‑bending set pieces, while the soundtrack and announcer commentary give the game a tongue‑in‑cheek tone. Online leaderboards and multiplayer modes encourage competition, and the track editor allows players to create and share their own elaborate courses, extending the game’s life well beyond its official content.

This instalment of Trials saw continued tight controls and precision of its physics, inventive track design and further creativity enabled by the editor, and a sheer volume of content provided by the bundled expansions. At the same time, its difficulty curve could be punishing, its futuristic presentation divided opinion, and its similarity to earlier entries stuck to a trusted formula.
