WonderSwan Color
The Bandai WonderSwan Color is a handheld gaming console first released in 2000, developed as a successor to the original WonderSwan. While it retains the iconic vertical and horizontal “dual-orientation” playstyle, this iteration features a color FSTN LCD display and remains fully backward compatible with the original monochrome library. The system retained its sleek, compact form factor, impressive battery efficiency on a single AA battery, and a robust library that includes major Japanese game and anime franchises. Early Color games were dual compatible with both monochrome and colour systems but over a third of the library is Color exclusive.
