A mid‑generation upgrade to the original Xbox One with a substantially more powerful GPU and slightly faster CPU, supporting true/native 4K resolution output, improved frame rates, and HDR visuals. Retains full compatibility with all existing Xbox One games and accessories.

Description

Having skipped the ‘VCR’ when Xbox One was a dumpster fire, I eventually swapped the Xbox One S for the updated X model. Much nicer. Model number 1787. This was again later replaced by a white model alongside the release of Red Dead Redemption 2. Given the Xbox Series had full backward compatibility, there was no reason to keep this generation of console moving forward. The only losses were the HDMI input and support for the DVB-T hardware. Games could be patched to natively the new hardware. Xbox One X enhanced software are listed here.
