Description
Also commonly sold as the Super 8. This is effectively a Famicom clone, using a video feed-through to the SNES/SFC. It allows Famicom and NES cartridges to be played, supporting both 60-pin and 72-pin cartridges.
Functionally provides an equivalent to the Sega Master System Converter for the Super Famicom/Super Nintendo. The critical difference is Sega provided the Master System’s Zilog Z80 CPU in the Mega Drive, providing backward compatibility, where as Nintendo did not. This device contains a NES-on-chip, an equivalent of the Famicom system, inside it. While not perfect, it would provide a relatively convenient way to play older Famicom titles, which generally had simple graphics and no complex expansion chips, in a relatively sufficient manner.
The device has three slots. It contains both slots for both NES and Famicom style cartridges, with a flap to avoid both slots being used simultaneously. It also provides a slot for a Super Famicom/Super Nintendo titles, to plug-in as a pass through for convenience. It also provides
