Phantasy Star II

Description

Phantasy Star II is a science fiction turn-based RPG and a direct sequel to the original Phantasy Star on the Master System. Set 1,000 years after the first game. The game has a complex and mature storyline, with large dungeons and can also be challenging for some. It was one of the first RPGs for a 16-bit console, released in the late 1980s domestically. Graphically it really does reflect this period as the graphics retrospectively can be mistaken for 8-bit at times, such as the lower resolution character sprites. But such as size of game was previously unlikely on consoles. Being such an important genre in Japan, it helped establish the proceeding golden years of 16-bit gaming.
