The game is set in the year 2086 and follows the reactivation of the Melty Lancer unit, a specialised team within the Galaxy Police Organization (GPO). Players take on the role of a commander tasked with managing six female officers, each possessing unique supernatural or technical abilities ranging from the sword-wielding aristocrat Melvina to the genetically engineered bio-soldier Angela. The plot involves investigating a series of galactic conspiracies and terrorist threats orchestrated by the shadowy group Iyonesco, blending high-stakes sci-fi drama with lighthearted, character-driven comedy.

Gameplay revolves around a weekly scheduling system where the player determines the activities for each of the six Lancers. You must balance training sessions to improve their combat statistics with patrol duties to maintain public order and rest days to manage their stress levels. While the core loop is focused on management, the game features automated tactical battles that trigger during patrols or specific story missions. Unlike traditional RPGs, the player has limited direct control during these encounters, with success being primarily determined by how effectively the characters were trained and prepared during the simulation phases.
