A rechargeable battery and AC adaptor power accessory for the Bandai WonderSwan
Description
A third party accessory branded as Madcow released through usual Hong Kong retail channels. This battery unit replaces the stock AA battery holder, sliding onto the console’s back.
Unlike the first party solution, this one still has the bulge found on the AA battery pack that comes with the WonderSwan. The official solution contained a smaller unit that was flat with the rest of the console. Some may have preferred having more to grip onto, but this only really works when using the WonderSwan in vertical orientation.
Ideally a modern battery solution, maybe with inbuilt USB-C charging, would come along but given the niche nature of the WonderSwan there is likely not much market for one.
