A French film studio nearly as old as Nintendo. Gaumont was involved in computer and video game publishing from the 1980s through the start of 128-bit era, mainly as an extension of its film and television business. The company published games focusing on licensed, educational, and family-oriented software rather than becoming a major game developer itself.
