Viewtiful Joe: Viewtiful World was released as part of the promotional campaign for Capcom’s stylish action game Viewtiful Joe. The disc was marketed as both a tie‑in to the game and a standalone J‑pop release, reflecting Capcom’s early 2000s strategy of blending video game promotion with mainstream music collaborations. There was also a DVD release under the same name.

The single features the vocal track “Viewtiful World,” performed by a collaboration of artists including KEN from DA PUMP, Ryo Owatari of Do As Infinity, D‑A‑I, Ayako Furuichi, and Sotaro from ZZ. The track was arranged by Satoru Hiraide, with lyrics contributed by Sotaro and KEN. Alongside the main version, the disc includes a remix subtitled “around the ground mix” and an instrumental version, giving fans three variations of the theme.
