A compact peripheral that bridges the console and PC ecosystems, allowing wireless Xbox 360 controllers and accessories to connect seamlessly to Windows machines.
Description
A USB to proprietary Xbox Wireless adaptor. Enables Xbox 360 wireless controllers to connect to a computer. It has no function on the Xbox 360 console. Initially branded for the Xbox 360 in white, later models changed to the Microsoft logo alongside a black option. The hardware model remained 1086. Clones also became commonplace due to the widespread popularity of the platform and controller, and its ubiquity as the PC game pad. The optional Xbox 360 Accessories Software for Windows provided additional control and options. It was compatible from Windows XP through to Windows 7, however support was dropped from Windows 8.
I have one original 2007 white model in East Asian retail packaging.
The 2008 black unit was taken loose from a bundle, these were never sold individually in retail packaging.
