Description
Third revision of the Xbox One controller (model 1708). Bundled with the Xbox One S and Xbox One X consoles. The third generation was released with the mid-generation console revisions in 2016. The major improvement was the adding of Bluetooth allowing these controllers to be used on Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android devices without the need of the USB adapter. It also had improved thumbsticks and triggers, and provided a headphone jack added in the prior revision (model 1697) – which the first (model 1537) lacked. The third revision was succeeded with the Xbox Series consoles, which controllers (model 1914) included a share button and USB-C.
