Xbox One Kinect
This Kinect was purchased bundled with an original Xbox One console.
Description
There are entire essays dedicated to the decision to bundle Kinect and then later drop it, so I will not rehash it here. I personally did not use the Kinect much, having skipped the initial Xbox One experience. This unit came from a 2014 launch console that I purchased a few years after (2017) as new old stock. At that stage however I had already bought the Xbox One S in 2016 and would purchase the Xbox One X at launch in late 2017.
The Kinect used a custom USB plug that would connect USB 3.0 and provide 12V power. Later devices would require an adaptor to inject this power separately from a 12V/2.67A power supply. In more recent years this would have been an ideal use for USB QC or even USB-C PD. Instead this device now required an awkward adapter to connect it to even Xbox One consoles revised just two years later.
