Joy-Con Strap

Joyジョイ-Conコンストラップ

A small wrist‑strap accessory for the Nintendo Switch that locks onto a Joy‑Con to prevent it slipping during motion play while also enlarging the SL and SR buttons for more comfortable use when the controller is held sideways.

Description

The Joy‑Con Strap is a small but important accessory for the Nintendo Switch, designed to clip securely onto either the left or right Joy‑Con when they’re detached from the console. Its primary purpose is twofold: safety and comfort. The wrist strap prevents the controller from slipping or being thrown during motion‑control play, much like the Wii Remote straps before it. The strap housing also makes the SL and SR shoulder buttons larger and easier to press, which is especially useful when a single Joy‑Con is used horizontally as a standalone controller.

A small lock lever ensures it stays firmly attached to the Joy‑Con rail, and the woven wrist cord is adjustable for a snug fit. It was produced in various colours, of which I have a small number. Two black straps were included with the Switch Console set and another two were included with the Joy-Con Pair set.

I also have two White/Cream ones with pastel coloured straps from the Animal Crossing console bundle.
