Earnest Evans

Earnest Evans is a 2D action-platformer that follows the adventures of Earnest Evans, an eccentric archaeologist on a quest to recover ancient artefacts. The game is a mix of exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving, with levels filled with traps and enemies. It offers unique gameplay with its protagonist’s signature whip weapon, which can be used for both combat and navigating the environment. With colourful, detailed backgrounds and FMV cutscenes, the game offered a unique old-school action experience although today has quite dated mechanics and controls. Originally launched about a week after the Mega CD hardware.
