Originally a Laserdisc based Arcade game from 1984 developed by Data East, it was ported to the Mega CD in 1992, and later re-released on PlayStation and Saturn.
Description
Thunder Storm (Cobra Command internationally) is a full-motion video (FMV) interactive movie game originally developed by Data East. Players pilot an advanced attack helicopter through a series of animated combat missions, using timed inputs to shoot enemies or dodge obstacles. The game features fully animated scenes with voice acting and CD-quality audio, taking advantage of the Mega CD’s FMV capabilities. While gameplay is limited to quick-time events, Cobra Command stood out at the time for its cinematic presentation and arcade-style action which seemed greatly futuristic for its time.
