Sega Chess
Sega Chess for the Master System offers a straightforward design focusing on chess strategy.
Description
Sega Chess on the Sega Master System offers a glimpse into how early game developers tackled creating playable, AI-driven chess on limited hardware. Its provides a straightforward design offering both a 2D and pseudo-3D graphical presentation. But the spotlight is squarely on Chess strategy, there’s not tutorial here, it’s just straight to the point. Two players are supported albeit seemingly pointless. It provides sampled voices for announcing moves, a nice touch for the era. For its time, simulating chess was and to some extent still is, difficult. This provided a great Chess entry for the Master System.
