Virtua Fighter CG Portrait Series Vol.1: Sarah Bryant is not a fighting game but a character-focused companion disc on college student Sarah Bryant. It contains a curated package of high-resolution pre-rendered CG portrait artwork paired with dedicated audio. The images contain the character in various poses or activities in a range of apparel (or lack thereof). Its music component is a real part of the appeal, with the character’s track “Dancing Shadow”.

There is no gameplay here, it is effectively a live audio-visual presentation of the pre-rendered CG images with some basic 2D transitions, backed by the music track. A karaoke option is also included, adding on-screen lyrics and mixing out the vocals. Although these types of items were products of their era, they also reflect a very common approach of Japanese media franchises to output character-specific side pieces, like audio dramas, which remain common to this day.
