Description
Looney Tunes Galactic Sports is a quirky sports compilation that takes the Looney Tunes cast into outer space, framing the action as an intergalactic tournament hosted by Marvin the Martian. The game features six themed events: Space Race, Space Golf, Space Boxing, Space Basketball, Space Archery, and Space Tennis. Each has its own mechanics and cartoonish twists. Players can choose from classic characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Taz, and Wile E. Coyote, competing across colourful alien arenas. Unlockables include new characters, arenas, and equipment, encouraging replay.
The game is a party‑style sports title, with short, accessible events designed for quick play. The Vita’s hardware is used well: touch controls for aiming in archery, motion input for golf swings, and traditional buttons for races and combat. The tone is lighthearted, leaning heavily on slapstick humour and the Looney Tunes’ animated personality. It captured the charm of the franchise and offered variety, although the events were uneven in polish, and some controls feeling gimmicky. In retrospect it was a playful experiment to bring Warner Bros.’ cartoon icons onto the handheld, echoing the spirit of titles like Mario Sports Mix. Notably as a PAL territory exclusive title in the Vita’s library, it is somewhat less common entry.
