Sotsugyō II: Neo Generation Special
卒業II Neo Generation SpecialA school management simulation that places five difficult students under the guidance of a newly appointed teacher. It combines schedule planning, counselling, observation, and character drama, with each decision shaping the class’s academic results and future after graduation.
Description
Sotsugyō II: Neo Generation Special follows a teacher responsible for guiding five senior students through their final year of high school. Each girl has a distinct personality, personal difficulties, and attitude towards study, forcing the player to understand the group as individuals rather than treating the class as a single set of statistics. The central theme is responsibility, with graduation serving as a judgement on whether patient guidance can redirect uncertain lives towards productive futures.
Gameplay involves manages lessons, class schedules, counselling sessions, weekend activities, and encounters outside school, balancing academic improvement against morale and individual behaviour. Decisions alter each student’s abilities, relationships, and prospects, while recurring conversations reveal problems that require a more personal response than straightforward timetable management. Success means improving results and helping the students enter suitable colleges or careers, while sustained failure can damage the teacher’s standing and bring the assignment to an unsuccessful conclusion.
The original Sotsugyō: Graduation, an early raising simulation that adapted the schedule management of Princess Maker from a fantasy to a modern setting. Sotsugyō II: Neo Generation introduces a new group of students and develops the teacher’s role through more elaborate character events, while the Special edition adapts that material for 3DO, with voiced dialogue, animated sequences, detailed portraits, and expanded audiovisual presentation within its predominantly menu-driven structure.
