Wii U Super Mario Maker Set (Super Mario 30th Anniversary)

Wii U スーパーマリオメーカー スーパーマリオ30周年セット

A commemorative Japanese hardware bundle celebrating the 30th anniversary of Super Mario Bros., pairing an uncommon white 32GB Wii U console with Super Mario Maker, a classic-colour Mario amiibo, and a collection of anniversary-themed extras.

Description

The Wii U Super Mario Maker Set (Super Mario 30th Anniversary) was released to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the original Super Mario Bros.. Unlike the standard Premium Wii U systems sold in most territories, the bundle included a 32GB Wii U console in white with a matching GamePad. It also contained a download version of Super Mario Maker, a special idea art book, and the 30th Anniversary Mario amiibo modelled after Mario’s appearance in the 1985 Famicom and NES original.

Super Mario Maker allows players to create, test, and share their own Mario stages using assets drawn from Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and New Super Mario Bros. U. Using the Wii U GamePad touchscreen, you can place enemies, blocks, power-ups, pipes, and environmental hazards with simple drag-and-drop controls before uploading completed stages online. The included anniversary amiibo unlocks a giant 8-bit Mario costume effect within the game and reinforces the bundle’s focus on celebrating the series’ history. For collectors, the most notable feature is the white 32GB Wii U configuration, which was predominantly released in the Japanese market with limited edition bundles. Combined with the commemorative packaging, anniversary amiibo, and Mario-themed presentation, the package remains one of the most distinctive late-era Wii U releases and one of the most recognisable hardware bundles.
