First-Print Edition

An initial production run of a game release, sometimes distinguished by limited bonuses or packaging variations. First‑print editions may include exclusive downloadable content, promotional items, or special markings on the packaging, and are often replaced in later printings by a standard version without these extras. In Western markets this is frequently branded as a Day One Edition or Launch Edition, while in Japan it is commonly referred to as 初回版 (shokaiban) or 初回特典 (first‑print bonus).
