Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Continuing the rebooted Modern Warfare storyline with cinematic intensity, fast-paced multiplayer, and the return of Zombies mode, though its campaign and technical performance was sub-par at times.
Description
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the direct sequel to Modern Warfare 2 and the third entry in the rebooted trilogy. The tone is gritty and cinematic, following Captain Price and Task Force 141 as they confront the ultranationalist villain Makarov. The campaign leans heavily on large-scale set pieces and “Open Combat Missions,” which give players more freedom than traditional linear levels, though many critics felt the story lacked the impact of earlier Modern Warfare titles.
Gameplay mechanics remain rooted in the franchise’s signature fast-paced gunplay. Multiplayer introduces all 16 launch maps from the original Modern Warfare 2, fully remastered, alongside new weapons, perks, and progression systems. The game also debuts a large-scale Zombies mode for the first time in the Modern Warfare sub-series, blending open-world objectives with survival elements.
Despite the nostalgic return of classic maps and the polished gunplay, the short was campaign and it leaned heavily on recycled content.
