An action RPG set across Ancient Greece, Egypt, and China, where players battle mythological creatures after the Titans escape their eternal prison. Missing big box, just the disc, disc case, and manual.
Description
The game follows the Diablo‑style formula of real‑time combat, loot collection, and character progression. Players create a protagonist and select from multiple masteries: skill trees that can be combined to form hybrid classes, offering twenty‑eight possible combinations. Combat pits the player against enemies drawn from regional mythologies, including satyrs, gorgons, mummies, and Chinese demons. The environments are notable for their historical realism, with villages, temples, and landscapes researched to reflect authentic ancient cultures, even while populated by mythological beasts. This blend of realism and fantasy distinguishes Titan Quest from other RPGs of its era.
The had multiple expansions that extend the narrative: Immortal Throne (2007) adds content set in the Underworld, while later releases Ragnarök (2017), Atlantis (2019), and Eternal Embers (2021) each broaden the scope to Norse, Atlantean, and Eastern mythologies. The Anniversary Edition (2016) modernises the original with bug fixes, balance changes, and Steam Workshop support, and ports bring the game to consoles and mobile devices. At launch, Titan Quest received a positive reception for its setting and depth, with sales approached one million units. The game’s engine later formed the basis for Grim Dawn. In 2023, THQ Nordic announced Titan Quest II, continuing the franchise.
