The Black Eyed Peas Experience

A Kinect‑based dance rhythm game that features 30 hit tracks by The Black Eyed Peas, with choreography inspired by the group’s stage performances.

Description

The Black Eyed Peas Experience sits within Ubisoft’s broader line of dance rhythm titles. Ubisoft’s flagship dance brand Just Dance began in 2009 on the Wii. The company then experimented with spin‑offs under the “Experience” label, such as Michael Jackson: The Experience and The Black Eyed Peas Experience. These games used the same underlying mechanics of motion tracking, choreographed routines, scoring accuracy, but were tailored to a single artist’s catalogue rather than a broad playlist.

The Xbox 360 version requires the Kinect for motion tracking. Players create avatars and mimic dance routines performed by the band, scored on accuracy and rhythm. Gameplay is structured around sets of moves, building into full choreographies. Modes include solo and two‑player co‑op, with the goal of earning fans and progressing through stages.
The soundtrack spans the group’s career, including Boom Boom Pow, I Gotta Feeling, Don’t Phunk With My Heart, Meet Me Halfway, and Just Can’t Get Enough. Visuals combine live video backgrounds with stylised avatars, aiming to replicate the energy of a Black Eyed Peas concert.

Reviews praised the soundtrack and choreography but noted limited replay value compared with broader dance games like Just Dance. Today it is remembered as a niche Kinect title, appealing mainly to fans of the group and collectors of music‑based titles on Xbox 360.
