Xbox 360 Launch Commemoration Pack
Xbox 360Japanese Xbox 360 ‘Pro’ launch console.
Description
The Xbox 360 was initially only made available in Japan in what was known as the 20GB ‘Pro’ model internationally. A model without a hard drive was not released until approximately a year later. Other regions experienced severe stock shortages, but due to the general lack of disinterest in Japan it was widely available. Ultimately however, the Xbox 360 would go on to be the most popular Xbox both globally and in Japan.
This “release commemoration pack” bundle included the console, power supply, HD D-terminal cable and ethernet/LAN cable, controller, media remote, and headset. Like many early Xbox 360 units, the console itself died an early death with the red ring of death error, due to overheating and a poorly engineered cooling system.
