Released alongside the Xbox 360, the Rechargeable Battery Pack fits directly into the battery compartment of the wireless controller. It offers up to 25 hours of play per full charge and integrates with the console’s on‑screen battery fuel gauge. It can be recharged using either the Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit or the Xbox 360 Quick Charge Kit. A full charge takes up to six hours with the former, or as little as two hours with the latter.

The pack uses a high‑performance nickel‑metal hydride cell, designed for repeated charge cycles without significant capacity loss. Its convenience and economy made it invaluable in my opinion, an absolutely required accessory for the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller.
