Description
Known as the Xbox High Definition AV Pack in North America. This was one of three video break-out ‘packs’ for the Xbox, this being the most superior in terms of image quality. As the name suggests, this provided component video output and was the only way to receive a HD output from the retail Xbox. The Xbox had capacity for 480p, 720p, and 1080i output, although software beyond 480p in this generation was extremely limited. At the time most consumers still had low quality CRT displays, but this product was much welcomed by those of us who were early adopters of HDTVs.
