The launch Xbox 360 did not provide HDMI output and this was the best analogue option. Supports up to WUXGA (1920×1200 pixel) resolution output along with analogue and optical SPDIF audio output. This was ideal for me, as I used a WUXGA panel as my primary computing display at the time, had an early Sony CRT HDTV with separated RGBHV input, and a pre-HDMI 5.1 decoder/receiver.
