Xbox SCART Adaptor

Description
Every PAL Xbox came with a composite AV cable and this SCART adaptor. SCART inputs were commonplace in European markets although mostly uncommon in Australia. Although SCART could handle high quality RGB signals, this would only convert composite video, which is of the lowest quality.
Microsoft separately sold a ‘Xbox Advanced SCART Cable’ (SKU K05-00002), which looked similar to the High Definition AV Pack. This did provide a RGB output in addition to digital audio. It was sold exclusively in the EU, where the High Definition AV Pack was not sold. In Australia component video was more commonplace in addition to a much earlier uptake in DTV/HDTV. As such there was a hybrid outcome with PAL consoles with SCART adaptors in addition to the High Definition AV Pack being sold.
