Description
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow is the second instalment in the Splinter Cell series. Built on an enhanced version of the original game’s engine, it continues the story of Sam Fisher, a covert operative working for the NSA’s secretive Third Echelon division.
In Pandora Tomorrow, you are tasked with preventing a biological terrorism threat linked to a fictional Indonesian militant leader. Mission locations include the jungles of East Timor, a U.S. embassy, and a high-speed train in France. There is a heavy focus stealth gameplay mechanics, such as light and shadow mechanics, environmental navigation, thermal vision, a silenced pistol, sticky cameras, and other gadgets to infiltrate locations.
A notable improvement in Pandora Tomorrow is online multiplayer mode, which introduced asymmetrical gameplay. You could play either as stealthy Spies in third-person view or heavily armed Mercenaries in first-person view. Each presented very distinct objectives and play styles. This mode was considered groundbreaking for its time and added replay value beyond the single-player campaign.
